Archiving everything 2008-2010

I'm archiving everything in this blog from earlier than 2010. I have realized now (2016) that the way I use the internet has changed drastically in the past few years and I'm no longer okay with personal info and pics being so public. If you're curious what was there - it was my journey of moving to Japan in 2008, first impressions, new experiences, and explorations.

I originally started this blog to keep track of my time as a missionary in Japan. After living there for several years, I moved back to the US and didn't update the blog at all (despite many adventure that were had there).

Now I'm in the process of moving to England, and thought it might be time to revive the blog.

The thoughts here are just my own opinions and observations and are just for fun. They are very much from my perspective as northeastern American. The US is a huge country with very diverse customs, accents, and norms; if living abroad has taught me nothing else it's that what's normal in one part of a country can appear just as odd to someone from another part of the same country as it does to a foreigner.
